It almost sounds like a sappy movie title, “Green Grass in late October”… But it’s the reality we find ourselves in!
Normally at this time of year Midwest lawns are approaching the end of their growing season and are beginning to prepare for winter. However, after an incredible dry winter we have gotten some rain and most lawns are the greenest they’ve been since May! It has been a joy to see the lush green make an appearance in the lawns we manage and we will be sad to see it go.
It just goes to show that the weather is one of those things that is most certainly out of our control. We are glad that in this instance it took a turn for the better (in our opinion) to spoil us this Fall.
